Light weight
Paulownia wood is the lighest known timber other than balsa. Paulownia wood is half the weight of Pine and a third of the weight of Oak.

Paulownia wood has the highest strength to weight ratiosof any wood in world. Paulownia is mostly knot free and holds nails and screws well, both yellow poplar and white pine wood proven to split before Palownia wood.
Conductivity
Paulownia wood is a good insulator. Paulownia constructed log homes are said to have twice "R" factor as pine as oak wood. This temperature resistance serves to give the wood a high fire resistance with ignition temperature about 400 0c, almost twice higher than many conventional hard and softwoods.
